Most military families are used to relocating every few years and restarting in a new city, but that doesn’t make it any easier. Moving can really throw a wrench in things!

Switching Orthodontists Mid-Treatment
Can I change orthodontists mid-treatment? Yes you can! If you are active duty Military or dependent, please let us know at your first visit. If you are deploying or being reassigned to another area, we’ll accommodate you and help you make your transition as smooth as possible! We can adjust your treatment plan and communicate with your new provider as much as necessary.
Relocating from Las Vegas
If you and your family are transitioning from Las Vegas to another location, please let us know as soon as you find out, and we’ll tell you everything you need to know to ensure that your treatment plan and all of your diagnostic records are sent to your new orthodontist.
Relocating to Las Vegas
If you’re relocating to Las Vegas, please rest assured that we’ve treated many patients who transferred to us from another orthodontist. Some patients have called us asking, “what if I’m moving to Las Vegas and I already have braces?” We helped these patients to resume their braces or Invisalign treatment at Saxe Orthodontics, with as little disruption as possible.
We’ve also treated patients who were not happy with their orthodontic treatment prior to starting treatment with us. We create personalized treatment plans for these patients and deliver exceptional results every time.
If your family is being stationed to Las Vegas, here’s what you can do to help the process:
- Inform your current orthodontist to let me know that your family is relocating to a new orthodontist. The sooner you let your orthodontist know, the smoother the transfer process will be. Allow some time for your previous orthodontic team to figure out finances. If you paid-in-full at the beginning of your treatment, the financial coordinator will have to accommodate your refund.
- Have your orthodontist fill out a transfer form. To help the orthodontic transfer process, you can fill out an orthodontic transfer form provided by the American Association of Orthodontists (AAO). This form will help us stay on the same page as your previous orthodontist. It’s important that we know the status of your orthodontic treatment, along with any orthodontic appliances you may have, your financial information and your dental records to ensure a smooth transfer.
Otherwise, if you just give us a call and let us know that you’re planning to relocate to Las Vegas, we’ll guide you through the process to ensure that our team has all of the information we need!
