Meet Dr. Alana K. Saxe
Dr. Alana Saxe’s long standing history in the field of medicine blended with her passion for orthodontics has helped to secure her spot as one of the leading orthodontists in the Las Vegas valley.
Dr. Saxe provides high-quality Las Vegas orthodontics for all ages!
Dr. Saxe was born in Modesto, California. Following in the footsteps of her mother, a nurse, Dr. Saxe attended school in Sacramento and worked as an ICU nurse in the Burn and Trauma Intensive Care immediately after graduation. Though she loved her profession, Dr. Saxe had always dreamed of becoming an orthodontist since a young age. Her medical background allowed her to easily transition to the world of dentistry.
Graduating at the top of the inaugural dental class at University of Nevada Las Vegas in 2006, Dr. Saxe continued her education with admittance into UNLV’s Orthodontic and Dentofacial Orthopedic specialty program, where she earned her specialty certificate. Dr. Saxe taught at the orthodontic residency at UNLV in 2009 before founding Saxe Orthodontics in 2010.
As a leader in her community, she started the interactive Brush Monkey program, where she continues to travel to local schools and educate students on proper oral health care. Through this program, she has supplied over 30,000 kids with brushing kits. She received several community recognitions such as a feature on the cover of Las Vegas Woman magazine, Las Vegas 40 under 40 Business recipient and voted as Top Dentist in the Desert Companion magazine. Dr. Saxe served on the Delegation for the Nevada Dental society for three years and is an active member of the American Association of Orthodontists, Pacific Coast Society of Orthodontics and Nevada Dental Society.
”I love being able to give my patients a smile that allows their confidence to flourish. As someone who went through orthodontic treatment and saw the changes it made in my life - it’s a joy to be able to facilitate that same change for others.
Family Life
Dr. Saxe has been married to her Las Vegas native husband, David, for 25 years and they have three incredible children, Camden, Simone and Tristan. When she is not creating beautiful smiles, she enjoys spending time with her pets, reading and attending orthodontic continuing education courses.
