Meet Dr. Alana K. Saxe
Dr. Saxe "straightening out" her two oldest kids!
Dr. Alana Saxe began her career in 1993 with a Bachelor's Degree in nursing from CSU Sacramento and a demanding position as a Burn and Trauma Intensive Care nurse. In 1995, she moved to Nevada, married her Las Vegas native husband and continued working as an ICU nurse for nearly a decade.
Although Dr. Saxe enjoyed her nursing career, her passion was always in Orthodontics. Having experienced as a teenager how much braces changed her smile and confidence, she wanted to be able to impact peoples' lives in the same positive manner. In 2002, she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming an Orthodontist and was accepted to UNLV School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Saxe's diverse background in nursing allowed her to easily transition to the world of Dentistry, excelling in her courses and graduating at the top of her class. She then continued on to a two year post doctorate specialty residency at UNLV, where she earned her specialty certificate in Orthodontics and Dentofacial Orthopedics. Dr. Saxe's longstanding history in the field of medicine blended with her passion for the world of dentistry and orthodontics has helped to secure her spot as one of the leading orthodontists in the Las Vegas valley.
When she is not creating beautiful smiles at Saxe Orthodontics, Dr. Saxe enjoys spending time with her husband and 3 kids on Lake Mead or watching her family participate in one of their many extracurricular activities. She is a huge supporter of Summerlin community charities and youth sports leagues.
Dr. Saxe is extremely friendly and truly LOVES what she does and it shows! Her down to earth chair side manner, fun loving office culture and exceptional staff create both incredible smiles and a welcoming experience for every member of your family.
Dr. Saxe is a proud member of several dental associations.
